FOOTBALLER VISITS KIDNEY TEENAGER

Footballer Matt Hughes has visited a 11-year-old Polish boy who is recovering from a kidney transplant in a Worcestershire hospital.

Specialists said Pawelek Nelek would have died without the kidney donated by his father, Dave, in an operation at Worcestershire Royal Hospital on July the 15th.

Surgeons and nurses offered their time for free to keep down the costs.

The FootballHeads player is Pawelek's hero and he gave him one of his shirts as Pawelek asked him about his career.

Doctors had visited Poland in a bid to improve kidney treatment in the country and the hospital arranged for Pawelek and his father to travel to the UK for the transplant.
